An appeal has been made by a military museum in Poland for 'lusty' tourists to stop having sex there. According to this article in The Daily Mail, The Fort Gerhard museum in the coastal town of Winoujcie, said that after installing new security cameras, they had seen multiple "amorous guests" in the act. Yikes. Some proper kinky fuckers…literally.
The Coastal Defence Museum wrote on its social media page: "Our guests are warmly requested... how can we say it... Please don't display ars amandi (the art of love) in the museum. The message continued:
“We ask our amorous guests to be understanding – most of the exhibits in our museum are from many years ago and accustomed to entirely different moral norms – conservative, even orthodox and abstemious. Let's not expose them to discomfort!”
According to the museum's website, its collections span ‘the times of Frederick the Great to the end of the Cold War'. Piotr Piwowarczyk, the director of the museum, said to the local newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza:
"In less than a month, we have already received three recordings of lovers having trysts."
Not what you want really is it, especially if you’re running a professional museum that caters to fairly conservative guests. However, the museum's director did have a thought as to why young couples seek out the museum for their naughty antics. He reckons it might have something to do with the couples being attracted by the museum's 'dark corners' without realising that there are cameras set up throughout every corner of the museum. He continued:
"We don't want them to be shocked during their visit by stumbling across a couple engaged in lustful antics."
For those horny visitors who can’t keep it in their pants, the museum has suggested they try one of the local beaches instead. Isn’t sex on a public beach illegal also?! Bit of a bizarre suggestion but I guess as long as people aren’t shagging up against one of the old relics, the museum doesn’t really give a shit. Anyone ignoring the warnings and doing it anyway could be slapped with a detention, a non-custodial sentence or a fine of 1,500 zloty (around £250).
