For Babestation and its sister babeshows, October 2009 was one of the most memorable months of the Freeview era. The piece from @BabeTV’s Tumblr account details some of the most memorable moments throughout October 2009. First off, viewers were informed of Amanda Rendall's "final ever night" on Babestation. The following evening, Amanda made her Bang Babes debut. She did eventually return to Babestation, but on October 23rd 2009, Amanda seemed adamant that it was her last ever night. The onscreen ad box at the time read...
“Tonight is Amanda’s last ever night on Babestation. Call now for one last ****!”.
Here’s @BabeTV’s full rundown of October 2009’s most notable trivia…
Amanda Rendall, Jemma Jey, Dionne Mendez, Rachel Cole and Flo all announced they were leaving Babestation. Others simply wanted to move away from Freeview. Charlie C moved to Daytime while a lot of the models from Sexstation who had been intermittently appearing on Babestation or Partyland also left. Before beginning a new behind-the-scenes position that included voice-over presenting and sales management, Geri finished her run as a performer on the babe channels.
All of the Cellcast night shows' sets were redone, and three of the four programmes were moved. Sets that had previously been in various rooms on several levels were now crammed together onto one floor, ruining the feel of the earlier sets and altering the feel of the performances. Due to the size and urgency of the reconstruction, it was nearly impossible to conceal the work from viewers, and several shows had to be filmed in front of partially painted or unpainted walls. Party Girls on Channel 96 was cancelled.
Babestation Xtra debuts, taking up Party Girls’s old home on Channel 96. Babestation and its sister programmes abandoned their bed-oriented sets in favour of themed sets including "bathroom," "mechanic's office," and "construction site." With the debut of Bang Babes and Early Bird on Channel 98, Babenation and its other shows now have their first Freeview competitor. Due to all the text chat moving to the new BS Xtra, Partyland lost its text chat capabilities. As a result, Partyland's on-screen graphics ran with one of the smallest primary blocks on a terrestrial live babeshow screen without the text video display.
Charlie C shifted from the night show to the day show at the end of October. Her transition to days had a huge impact on rampant Freeview audiences since she had been a raunchy, boundary pushing night girl during the entire Freeview expansion. Other babes who made iconic appearances throughout October 2009 were Reede Fox, Yvette Merriman, Paige Tyler and Rachel Cole.
Jemma Jey left Babestation straight after Amanda in late October 2009. She also went to Bang Babes but not before saying a fond farewell to Babestation on 24th to 25th October 2009. Some top tier additions have come and gone since she left, but according to @BabeTV, no one’s ever replaced her.
